The « Crown Lodge » was launched in May 2002. It is a private Steward suite converted to allow tourists from around the world to discover, in optimum conditions of comfort and safety the electric atmosphere of horse racing in Mauritius.
The Crown Lodge:

The product Crown Lodge is also a set of premium services. You do not have to bother about anything, We take care of everything for you:
• A complete service is offered in the lodge and is included in the package.
• Free open bar and snacks from 12hr to 5hr pm .
• You are fully assisted by the Crown Lodge team
• You can bet directly in the lodge up to the last minute.
• Promoters will take care of you all day long
• You can meet the local trainers owners jockeys visiting the Crown Lodge.
• You are covered by an insurance
• A TV provides you on line key information such as horses' handicaps and the betting odds
• The lodge is equipped with a fan, and you are covered by an insurance.
The dress code is : Casual Smart (trousers and shirts for men). Wearing suits and ties not required.
What is included in the price:
• You are picked up from your hotel or villa around 11h00 ( south and east coast ) and 11h30 ( north coast )
• You arrive at the Champ de Mars around 12h15 and are welcomed at the main gate of the Mauritius Turf Club
• Upon their arrival in the box , you are offered a welcome drink ( sparkling wine or any other preferred beverage )
• Before the 1st race a briefing is conducted about all facilities included in your package, together with services that they will be offered during their day at The Crown Lodge
• After the 1st race a common bet is organised for all guests present with possibilities of winning a jackpot "Pick Six"
• The 8 races are run at intervals of 35 minutes
• All guests are entertained by the Crown Lodge hosts
• Food (hot and cold canapés) and drinks (soft, beer, whisky, wine, rum, gin, vodka etc) are served upon clients’ requests from 12h00 to 17h00 by experienced waiters
• After the last race, clients are led back to their vehicle.
