The easily accessible surfing spots in Mauritius are Tamarin Bay & Le Morne, both on the south-west coast and to a lesser extent at Rivière des Galets (south coast) and Balaclava (north-west coast). SSR Botanical Garden in Mauritius

The garden is known throughout the botanical world for its large collection of indigenous and exotic plants, including the giant Victoria Amazonica water lilies and many species of palm trees. The 60-acre garden boasts of 500 different species of plants, of which 80 are palms. Of particular interest is the Talipot Palm, which dies after a single flowering. The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden of Pamplemousses is hosting a botanical phenomenon: a talipot palm is in bloom. The talipot flowers once every 30 to 100 years and it is commonly known as the centenary tree in Mauritius. The talipot palm bears the largest inflorescence of any plant, 6 to 8 m long, consisting of one to several million small flowers borne on a branched stalk that forms at the top of the trunk. This event is even more attractive because the plant dies after fruiting. Those who wish to witness this phenomenon are warmly invited to visit the SSR Botanical Garden.

Quad Biking in Mauritius

We propose a discovery outing in the African reserve (1 hour) amongst deer, zebra and African antelopes followed by a visit of the 4,500-hectare Yemen nature reserve with its indigenous forest. The outings take place after an initiation circuit has been completed by the participants as part as an evaluation of their capacity to drive a quad. All outings are guided and also followed by a professional photographer whose photos will be available for purchase right after the outing. The Vanilla Crocodile and Tortoise Park is situated in Riviere des Anguilles in the South of Mauritius, it opened in 1985 it has the name of vanilla because it occupies the valley of a former vanilla growing area. It has a tropical forest with palms, freshwater streams and local flora and fauna. The first crocodiles were imported from Madagascar. There is also a collection of monkey, giant tortoise, rabbits, bats, wild pigs. You will find also one of the largest species of lizard, the giant Phesuma from Madagscar.
